Stockholmscupen 2011

Stockholmcupen 2011 took place at Väsjöbacken, Lidingöbacken and Hammarbybacken – 3 different slopes, all located within 30 min. from the center of Sweden’s capital, Stockholm.

Organised by local snowboard club SSAK, Stockholmscupen covers the biggest resorts in the stockholm area. The slopestyle competitions took place between the 19th of February and 26th of March, and was a huge success. With blaring sunshine shining, the best possible weather and perfect kickers throughout all three stops.

After the three massive slopestyle sessions, a ’highest air’ competition began. With 10.000 SEK in prices, the competition attracted riders from all over Sweden.

BURN rider Noa Gadelius took home 1st prize for blasting out of the quarterpipe and setting everyone else straight. Mattias Blomberg was crowned overall winner of Stockholmscupen 2011. Afterwards a good old´fashion BBQ was set up and while DJ's killed turntables the crowd chowed down on bbq sausages and washed it all down with Burn.
